On Saturday, August 20, 2011, Hawaii ESGR volunteers Clyde and Arlene Yoshimura, presented a Patriot Award on behalf of the spouse of Army Reservist MSG Philip Vierra, to Russell Lee, manager of Hawaii Kai Costco Wholesale.  Along with them, was Brigadier General Jon D. Lee, the DMS 9th Mission Support Command of the United States Army Reserve.  General Lee and Clyde Yoshimura (retired United States Army Reserves Colonel) personally expressed their gratitude toward supportive employers such as Costco Wholesale, for their overall support to Guard and Reserves men and woman serving overseas, as well as to the spouses.  BG Lee also stressed the importance of support from employers on the security of the service member’s job when they return from their mission.
