Phoenix, Arizona Office of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (AZESGR) presented Mr. Michael Jackson from USAA with the Patriot Award submitted by PO 3rd class Nick Curry who stated:

Mike has only been my supervisor for a few months but has already been tremendously supportive of my Reserve requirements. He allows me to take every Monday off after drill weekend without question so I can use the day to catch up on work at home and have some time to relax with my family. He understands the commitment to the Navy and appreciates that I can bring back my military qualities to USAA.

As the 1.1 million members of the National Guard and Reserve continue to perform an increasing number of unique missions with America's borders and beyond, ESGR will continue to be the resource for the employers of citizen warriors. ESGR recognizes outstanding support, increases awareness of the law, and resolves conflict through mediation.  Anyone wanting additional information regarding ESGR can visit our web site at www.esgr.mil or by calling Butch Wise, Executive Director for the Arizona Office for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve at 602-629-4031 or by email at lawrence.wise@us.army.mil or Richard Borjeily, Program Support at 602.629.4387, richard.h.borjeily@us.army.mil
