Alabama ESGR Committee Holds Award Luncheon

 MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Alabama State Committee For Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve held its Executive Committee Meeting and District 3, 4, 6, & 7 Awards Luncheon on the grounds of Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, LLC., in Lincoln, Ala., May 5, 2009. Sixteen employers and five volunteers were honored for their outstanding support of their employees who serve in the military.
Employers who received the “Above and Beyond” Award were:
District 3
Clay County Sheriff’s Dept., Ashland, Ala.
Opelika Police Dept., Opelika, Ala.
Golden Corral, Opelika, Ala.

District 4
N.W. Alabama Mental Health, Jasper, Ala.
Cullman County Sheriff, Cullman, Ala.
Cullman Electric, Cullman, Ala.
Lowe’s Home Improvement, Fort Payne, Ala.

District 6
City of Trussville, Trussville, Ala.
Shelby County, Shelby County Ala.

District 7
Bryce Hospital, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
W. D. Partlow Development Center, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
City of Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
V A Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Employers who received the “Seven Seals Award” were:
American Legion, Post 101, Carbon Hill, Ala.
Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, LLC, Lincoln, Ala.
Reynolds, Reynolds & Duncan, LLC. Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Among the volunteers awards presented were:
Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Bill Voight
Herb Lockett Ombudsman of the Year presented to Glen Dunlap
Sgt. Maj. James Early Award denoting the Volunteer of the Year presented to Charlotte Boyle
