Clarksville, Arkansas – The Arkansas Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced today that Dr. David Hopkins, District Superintendant, Clarksville Public Schools and Paul Bo Dean, Principal, Clarksville Junior High School, were honored with Patriot Awards in recognition of extraordinary support of their employees who serves in the Arkansas National Guard and Reserve.
According to Richard Green, ESGR Arkansas Program Specialist, “The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve. Dr. Hopkins and Principal Bo Dean were nominated for being highly supportive of the Air National Guard by Lieutenant Colonel James Krohn. Lieutenant Colonel Krohn is a Social Studies Teacher at Clarksville Junior High School and is the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander with the 188th Fighter Wing, Air National Guard, Fort Smith Arkansas. Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the Nation’s National Guard and Reserve units.” The Awards were presented at the Clarksville Junior High School.
