Loudon, New Hampshire was the site for the second Employer Job Fair held at the Motor Speedway. The event took place on August 27, 2009. The event sponsored in part by WMUR-TV saw 7,000 participants throughout the day taking advantage of the great weather and the ability to gather information from many prospective employers.
The booth set up by ESGR had the advantage of being well situated next to the WMUR booth. The heavy foot traffic was visible throughout the day. Many people stopped by the ESGR booth and spoke with Employer Outreach Volunteers about issues such as job security, pay, prospective employers throughout the state, and general information about volunteering with ESGR. The Employer Outreach Volunteers who worked that day also had an opportunity to visit with Governor John Lynch and had a photo taken commemorating the event.
The event lasted from 8:00 A.M. and closed 5:00 P>M> All in all it was a very successfully day for our ESGR team and a worthwhile endeavor that is sure to be a yearly tradition.
