With the Air Force Thunderbirds roaring over the Blue Ridge Mountains, the West Virginia Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve was busy working the crowd at its display booth, hosting a Business After Hours event, and recognizing service members and employers.

 Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Volunteer Melissa Bruhl honored both Mr. Brian Searle and Mr. Edward Newton of Terminix in New Castle, DE with a Patriot Award, in recognition of extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. 

California Chairman Andrew Wiktorowicz is happy to announce that Raytheon Electronics Warfare Systems/Tactical Airborne Systems divisions have received the Seven Seals Award and the Above and Beyond Awards. 

Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Volunteer Gene Hebert honored Ms. Deayna Ewell of Express Last Hurrah with a Patriot Award, in recognition of extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

3 SEP 2010 - Delaware ESGR Volunteer Judy Zaal honored Ms. Margaret Johnson, Manager at Concord Pet Foods, with a Patriot Award, in recognition of her extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.  The presentation took place at the Concord Pike store in Wilmington, DE. 
 

(Stamford, Connecticut) – The Connecticut Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (CTESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, has awarded Dr. Timothy J. Dowding of the University of Connecticut School of Business with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support for employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Manpower Inc., signed Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Statements of Support for the National Guard and Reserve Aug. 26 for seven of its locations in central Illinois. Manpower franchise partner, Doug Orear, signed the ESGR SOSs at Manpower’s Springfield office for Central Illinois Staffing Services, Peoria Manpower Inc. and Manpower Inc. office locations in Peoria, Bloomington, Champaign, Rantoul and Mattoon.

BREA CALIFORNIA:  California Chairman Mr. Andrew Wiktorowicz, California Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves announces that ProForce Law Enforcement has signed a “Statement of Support” recognizing the importance of the Guard and Reserves.  ProForce Law Enforcement has a dedicated staff consisting of Reservists and Veterans at both locations in California and Arizona.  ProForce also recognizes the many Law Enforcement Officers and personnel who protect our cities and states in their careers and then protect our Country serving in the Guard and Reserves.

Tunnel Hill, Ga. –Georgia Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, presented Xpress Global Systems with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of its’ employees who serve in the Georgia National Guard and Reserve.

20 AUG 10 - Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Volunteer Richard Ruben honored Ms. Mary Caudill of Roses store in Smyrna, DE, with a Patriot Award, in recognition of extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. The presentation took place at Roses store in Smyrna, DE. The recipient was nominated by employee and Army Guard PFC Jordan Thomas who serves in the 198th Signal Battalion of the Delaware National Guard.  Thomas stated in the nomination that Ms. Caudill is highly supportive of National Guard or Reserve service. 

California ESGR presented a Patriotic Award to Battalion Fire Chief Mike Hickey aboard Naval Air Station Lemoore Fire Station #2 Ops site.

20 AUG 10 - Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Volunteer LTC Angela Showell honored M. Gallucio's Italian Eatery, with a Patriot Award, in recognition of extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

Admiral Beverage Company has been an outstanding supporter of all National Guard/Reserve and ESGR events for the last 2 years.  They have donated all the bottled water for bosslifts both out of state and Mini Bosslifts, for our National Guard charity golf tournaments, our ESGR APAC and STACOM meetings and for all Family Readiness and National Guard Youth events.

20 AUG 10 - Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Volunteer Richard Ruben honored Mr. Jeff Dawson of Dawson Bus Service, with a Patriot Award, in recognition of his extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.
 

Gainesville, Ga. –Georgia Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, presented Gainesville State College with a Patriot Award in recognition of support of its’ employees serving in the Army Reserve.

(Sandston, VA) – LTC Neal Edmonds, Commander of the 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Group, VA Army National Guard and members of the VA ESGR Field Office, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, announced today that 33 civilian employers participated in a joint Civic and Civilian Leader event at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Sandston, VA adjacent to the Richmond International Airport.

20 AUG 10 - Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Volunteer LTC Angela Showell honored Mr. Bill Outten of Giant Foods, with a Patriot Award, in recognition of his extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. The presentation took place at Giant Foods' location on Long Neck, Millsboro, DE. The recipient was nominated by employee and Army Guard SPC Moran who serves in the 198th Signal Battalion of the Delaware National Guard.  Moran stated in his nomination that Mr. Outten is highly supportive of his National Guard or Reserve service.

20 AUG 10 - Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Volunteer Richard Ruben honored Mr. Chris Vinton of Comcast in Dover, with a Patriot Award, in recognition of his extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve. The presentation took place at Comcast's location in Dover, DE. The recipient was nominated by employee and Army Guard SSG Jason Mead who serves in the 261st TTSB of the Delaware National Guard.  Mead stated in his nomination that Mr. Vinton is highly supportive of his National Guard or Reserve service.

20 AUG 10 - Delaware Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Volunteer and Chair Emeritus Mr. Gene Hebert honored the City of Dover with an Above & Beyond Award, in recognition of their extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.  The presentation took place at the Dover offices.  Accepting on the city's behalf was Mayor Carleton Carey.  The employer has received numerous Patriot Awards, as well as participated in past ESGR events.   The City of Dover goes above and beyond USERRA law requirements to provide additional benefits to military employees.  Mayor Carey is highly supportive of National Guard or Reserve service -- even when military employees are called to duty on short notice or for multiple deployments.  

When the Kentucky Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) told its story to the annual meeting of the Kentucky Association of Chiefs of Police last week in Bowling Green, it received a resounding response: 16 Police Departments from around the Commonwealth signed ESGR Statements of Support.
