New Lisbon Correctional Institution Honored by Department of Defense for Extraordinary Support of Employees Who Serve in the Wisconsin National Guard and Reserve

(New Lisbon, WI) – The Wisconsin Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced today that Warden Ana Boatwright, Deputy Warden Lizzie Tegels, and Security Director Larry Fuchs of the New Lisbon Correctional Institution were honored with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of one of their employees, Timothy Dahnke, Technical Sergeant who serves in the 115th Fighter Wing of the Wisconsin Air National Guard.

Central Virginia Employers Participate in Civic and Business Leaders Orientation Program to Fort Lee, VA

Twenty-eight civilian employers, with businesses located in Central Virginia, traveled to Fort Lee, VA, as guests of the Virginia National Guard, the Virginia ESGR Field Office and the United States Army’s Sustainment Center of Excellence. It was a day for all of them to see first- hand the training provided to members of each military service, to include members of every reserve component and the National Guard as well. Throughout the day, the employers began to see how much of this training could benefit their civilian businesses, at no additional cost to them, when they hire and retain employees; who also serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

2010 Illinois ESGR Bosslift to Seattle, Washington

More than 30 community leaders and business professionals from across Illinois received an invitation from Maj. Gen. William Enyart, Adjutant General of the State of Illinois, to participate in the ESGR Bosslift for 2010.  Bosslifts transport employers and supervisors to military training sites where they observe National Guard and Reserve members on duty.  This provides the employer a better understanding of what our Reservists and Guardsmen do when they are away from their civilian occupation for duty with their military units.  On orders issued by Enyart, the ESGR Bosslift group traveled to Seattle, Washington, June 21-23.

Florida Committee Teams with Florida State Law Enforcement Agencies to Execute a SOS Statewide
