A chance to see what is happening with ESGR committees everywhere.

ST. GEORGE — The Utah Department of Workforce Services in partnership with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and the Utah Department of Veteran’s Affairs will sponsor a job and career fair on Saturday, January 28 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Dixie Center located at 1835 S. Convention Center Drive in St. George.

Our national ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) leadership have been working with the Active Army in developing a “proof of concept” to address the unemployment situation as it relates to transitioned Army personnel especially focused on those receiving unemployment compensation (UCX). The Army plan is to run a several-month — 4 months at this point — pilot program, and take the lessons learned and possibly expand at some point to other states.
