BILLERICA, MA. February 9, 2010. The Engility Corporation conducts and leads research projects in the development of advanced Civil Air Traffic Control (ATC)/ Management (ATM) concepts. Today, the company President, Mr. Stephen R. Robinson accepted the Coveted Above and Beyond Award for their outstanding support of all their military member workforce of over twelve employees. In accepting the high honor, President Robinson stated; "In these dangerous times for our country, the very least we can do is to give our total support to those on the frontlines of democracy and freedom. This corporation supports them one hundred percent!" Both company president and vice-president are retired from the U. S. Armed Forces with almost 60 total year's service between them. The company had previously signed a Statement of Support and had received the Patriot Award.

Iowa veterans could get Veterans Day off under a proposal in the Iowa House.  Introduced by State Rep. Ray Zirkelbach, D-Monticello, the legislation would require employers to give veterans Nov. 11 off -- paid or unpaid -- if the employee would otherwise be required to work.
