Atlas COPCO Compressors, LLC Manager Honored with the Patriot Award

WESTFIELD, MA. 13 April, 2009. Mr. Paul Moody, manager of the Atlas Copco Compressors, LLC, on 94 N. Elm Street, Westfield, MA. received the Patriot Award today. Mr. Moody was honored because of his total support of the organization's employees who are also members of the Guard or Reserves. He was nominated by David Sostre-Baez, who also serves as a Sergeant (SGT) in the MA Army National Guard assigned to the 379th EN Det 1 in Pittsfield, MA. SGT Sostre-Baez stated; "Mr. Moody should be awarded this honor because of the support that he provides in the pursuit of my military career!". "Mr. Moody provides a flexible schedule for all the military members here by working around activations, training requirements, and weekend drills." "He allows additional time off without loss of benefits during last minute schedule changes and fosters an environment of mutual support among all my co-workers!"

The Massachusetts Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (MAESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994 and resolving conflicts through mediation. The MA Committee has more than 32 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier". Representing MA ESGR at the ceremony attended by 15 company employees were Major Chris Dugre and Assistant Program Support Specialist Bill Hebert
