BOSTON MA. January 14, 2009. Partners Health Care demonstrated its commitment to National Guard and Reserve Veterans in a Statement of Support Signing Ceremony held recently at Partners Headquarters in the Prudential Center in historic Downtown Boston.  The signing was held in collaboration with the Massachusetts Committee of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (MAESGR), a Department of Defense agency that works to gain employer support for the National Guard and Reserve.

The signing of the Statement of Support confirms that Partners Health Care joins other employers throughout Massachusetts and the United States in pledging that:

  • We fully recognize, honor and enforce the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act (USERRA).
  • Our managers and supervisors will have the tools they need to effectively manage those employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve.
  • We will continually recognize and support our country's service members and their families in peace, in crises and in war.

"Partners Health Care is committed to the ongoing support of the brave members of the National Guard and Reserve as they leave for service and upon their safe arrival home," said Dennis Colling, Partners Vice President of Human Resources.

Executives from across Partners entities including:  Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Brigham and Women's/Faulkner Hospitals, Massachusetts General Hospital, McLean Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital and The North Shore Medical Center all participated.
