International Corporation Honored with Patriot and Above and Beyond Awards

NEEDHAM, MA. 14 May, 2009. Greg Huff, a retired member of the US Army, accepted the Patriot Award and a coveted Above and Beyond Award. Mr. Huff is the Manager of the Needham MA Branch of The GARDA Cash Logistic International Corporation based in Canada. The retired soldier stated: "No one knows better than I, the importance of the National Guard and Reserve in today's current worldwide operations." He continued: "In helping making life a little easier for my military employees, I feel I'm just making my little contribution for the war effort!"

Garda Cash Logistics is a large and growing international corporation based in Canada with numerous locations throughout the United States including two in Massachusetts; the one MA ESGR visited in Needham and another branch in Springfield. The Massachusetts Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (MAESGR) is a Department of Defense agency established in 1972. The mission of ESGR is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the USERRA law of 1994 and resolving conflicts through mediation. The MA Committee has more than 35 volunteers dedicated to helping every "Citizen Soldier". On hand representing MAESGR Volunteers and Awards Director Roger Fortin, Area Chairman for Southeastern Mass and Senior Ombudsman,  Joachim-Ingo Borowski, Employer Outreach Director, Dr. Tom Mulvaney and Staff Member  David St. Germain..
