Eugene, OR - Mrs. Teddi O’Conner, Supervisor at Legacy Laboratory in Eugene was presented the Patriots Award from the Department of Defense Agency, Employers Support for Guard and Reserve (ESGR) in ceremonies held on March 8, 2010. The award was presented to Legacy Laboratory for supporting employee, Master Sergeant Gil R. Beanes assigned to the 173rd Fighter Wing, Klamath Falls, Oregon. Beanes has been deployed twice in the past to Iraq and will re-deploy to Afghanistan within the next few months. According to Beanes, his absence will require his fellow employees to make adjustments to cover his work and share responsibilities. As a result of his Supervisor and co-workers continuing support, he submitted his company and supervisor for recognition. About ESGR Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) is a Department of Defense agency with a mission to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve service by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the law, and resolving conflict through mediation.
