Mr. Pat Carr, ITT Program Manager, SpaceLift Range Support, Patrick, AFB receives Patriot Award from Florida Committee Member, Herman Garrett, before a gathering of approximately 90 contractor, civil service and military personnel attending a quarterly review of the “Range Status”, 12 January 2010.

Capt Rick Garcia, USAFR, 452nd Air Mobility Wing (C17 aircraft), March, AFB, CA nominated his Boss, Pat Carr for the outstanding support he and ITT have and are providing in support of their National Guard and Reserve Employees.  Capt Garcia further stated, “the continued support has been critical to his accomplishment of his military mission” and some of these have been with short notice and his boss continued to lean forward with support.  ITT provides engineering and technical support for both Patrick, AFB, Eastern and Vandenburg, AFB, Western Space Launch Ranges. This group supports all NASA, Military and Commercial Space Launches including those of the National Reconnaissance Organization (NRO).  ITT and Mr. Carr exemplify the best in their dedicated support of their National Guard and Reserve employees and thus are part of the national mission on the War on Terrorism.  

According to Herman Garrett, Florida ESGR Committee Member, “The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve.  Supportive supervisors like Mr. Carr are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s National Guard and Reserve units.”
