Terry and Pattie Parks of the Alaska Aces accepted the Seven Seals Award from the Alaska ESGR Committee during the Marine Corps Birthday Ball 21 Nov 2009.

The Seven Seals Award is the only Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve award that recognizes the efforts of supportive businesses and organizations in the community that may or may not employ a National Guard or Reserve member.  It was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals, companies or organizations that provide significant achievement, initiative or support that promotes and supports the ESGR mission.

The Alaska Aces were nominated for being highly supportive of the Marine Reserve mission.  On November 13, 2009, the Aces asked the Marine Reserves to provide a color guard for the home hockey game. A portion of the game, the Aces cleared the ice rink to allow the audience to participate in a “bear toss” where teddy bears were thrown to the ice to support the “Toys for Tots” program.
On behalf of the 4,516 plus members of the Guard and Reserve, the Alaska ESGR Committee is privileged to support, honor, salute, and thank the Alaska Aces for the support of the selfless serving members of the Guard and Reserve and their families.
