Matt Bergman: Bergman is an academic counselor for the B.S. in Workforce Leadership degree. This program is designed so that students with significant life and work experience can get academic credit for their accomplishments. Bergman actively works to recruit service members into the program.
Dr. Dale Billingsley: As the vice provost at the University of Louisville, Dr. Billingsley was instrumental in the creation of the Office of Military and Veteran Student Services. Through his support and leadership, the university is able to provide better opportunities for students who have served or are currently serving in the military.
Joe Dablow: Along with Dr. Billingsley, Dablow spearheaded the effort to create the Office of Military and Veteran Student Services, which serves as a one-stop shop for students who are veterans who need help with any aspect of their academic career.
Susan Hildebrand: Hildebrand works with the Workforce Leadership degree program, helping veterans receive up to 48 credit hours for their military experience.
MG (ret.) Rick Huck: MG Huck works directly with University President James Ramsey’s office to advocate for the interests of service members who are on campus.
Ann Kirwan: Kirwan is the Veterans’ Affairs certifying official for the University of Louisville. She certifies enrollment to the VA, which allows veterans to start receiving GI Bill money.
Louisville, Ky. — Six officials at the University of Louisville have received Patriot Awards for their outstanding dedication and service to Kentucky Guard and Reserve members. Bob Silverthorn, Kentucky ESGR field chair, made the presentations during a Veterans’ Day ceremony at the school. |
