National Guard men and women are getting more than just a pat on the back and a thank you from the capital city. Tallahassee Mayor and Florida League of Cities' President, John Marks, is urging city governments across the sunshine state to support members of the National Guard and reservists. The support will help guarantee that a reservist can't lose his or her job because of their military obligations. The League of Cities is working with the Florida Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves to make Florida cities the first state to reach a 100% support level. City officials say they expect to reach that mark by this Friday.
