22nd Air Force signs Statement of Support for the National Guard and Reserve

(Marietta, GA) – Tom Wessels, Field Chair of the Georgia Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced that Maj. Gen. James T. Rubeor, Commander, 22nd Air Force, signed a Statement of Support for the National Guard and Reserve on Monday, June 8, 2009.  The signing ceremony was held at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, GA.

Monday marked the day that Vermont celebrated its first Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Day.  This special day was designated by the Vermont Legislature as “the General Assembly extends its appreciation to all Vermont employers, past, present, and future, that have employees deployed or to be deployed for the sacrifice that they are making and continue to make in support of their citizen soldiers.”

City of Westminster, California Signs Multiple Statements of Support, Receives Coveted Seven Seals Award

Westminster, California–The Southern California Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced that the City of Westminster, the Westminster City Council and all of the departments within the city, signed Statements of Support (SoS). A Statement of Support is a symbolic proclamation that publicly states an employer’s commitment to support its employees serving in the Guard and Reserve. In addition, the City of Westminster received the coveted Seven Seals Award in recognition of their outstanding support of Guard and Reservists.
